Physicians East is proud to offer robotic and traditional surgical services for general and colorectal surgery.

General Surgery

Despite its name, general surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal organs, e.g., intestines, including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland (depending on the availability of head and neck surgery specialists). General surgeons also deal mainly in the torso with diseases involving the skin, breast, soft tissue, and hernias. 

The surgery department is located at the Physicians East main office on Arlington Boulevard in Greenville, NC. To schedule an appointment with our surgery department, you should seek a referral from your general practitioner.
