One of the greatest benefits of being a patient at one of our Physicians East locations is that all of your patient information is already available in our secure electronic medical record. This means you don't have to fill out any unnecessary paperwork, and all of your insurance information is already on file. We can easily contact your primary care provider and make them aware of any changes in your health condition.
*Note: If you think that you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or severe medical condition, please call 911 or go directly to the nearest hospital emergency room. For more information on what we treat, click here.
This benefit is especially useful at our Urgent Care Center. If you're already a patient with Physicians East or an affiliated practice (Greenville OB/GYN, Greenville Women's Clinic), then all you'll need prior to your visit is your ID, your method of payment, and your insurance card (if any information has changed since your last visit). The rest of your information is already on file. Just check in with the administrative staff upon arrival, complete a short form that describes the nature of your visit, and have a seat. It's that easy.
Because we are a walk-in clinic and aim to provide comprehensive care to every patient, wait times can vary. We will do our best to serve you as quick as possible. You can call ahead to check on approximate wait times before your visit.
Depending on the nature of your visit, our medical provider may recommend blood tests or x-rays. Many lab tests are available right away, but some will take a few days to process. X-rays are reviewed immediately by the providers for rapid diagnosis. Final reports which are read by our radiologists or specialists, take a few days to process.
We pride ourselves in providing timely tests results both in-person and through after-visit phone calls from our nursing staff. You will know “what we found out.”
The provider may recommend follow-up visits. These can be performed at the Urgent Care Center or at your primary care provider's office. You can discuss your preference with the provider during your visit.
