Physicians East is proud to announce that Dr. Bear will now be assisting patients in our Internal Medicine Department at our Arlington office. Dr. Bear received his Bachelors of Science from Dickinson College and his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He served in the US Navy for four years as a General Medical Officer and for one year as an urgent care Physician at the Concentra Medical Center in Alexandria, VA. Dr. Bear is joining the Physician’s East team from his most recent position as a Hospitalist at Honolulu’s Kaiser Permanente Monalua Medical Center. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. In his free time, Dr. Bear enjoys outdoor activities with his four girls.

Andrew Berson, DO

Physicians East is proud to welcome Dr. Andrew Berson to our Greenville office where he will practice comprehensive care as an internal medicine provider. A native of the Northeast, Dr. Berson received all of his clinical training and education in Pennsylvania. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Pittsburgh, completed his Doctorate of Osteopathy from The Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to completing his residency, Dr. Berson worked at a medical mission in Kpando Ghana. In his free time, Dr. Berson enjoys spending time with his fiancé, as well as outdoor sports like cycling, hiking, and snowboarding.

Kourtney Krohn DO

Dr. Kourtney Krohn, a Board Certified Family Physician, is originally from NJ. Her and her husband relocated to the Greenville area in 2017 after completion of their residency. Dr. Krohn received her undergraduate degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine in Stratford, NJ in 2014. She completed her residency training in Family Medicine at Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine Residency Program where she was elected Chief Resident and awarded the honor of Resident of the Year. At Crozer, she was responsible for leading multiple quality improvement initiatives to provide better patient care.

Dr. Krohn’s areas of interest include women’s health, contraceptive management and geriatrics. Outside of work, she enjoys cycling, hiking and spending time with her family. She believes strongly in evidence based medicine and patients playing an active role in their healthcare. She is currently accepting new patients and would be happy to see you at our Arlington location. Services Offered: IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, joint injections, minor surgeries.
