Jessica Mitchell is a board-certified Physician Assistant. She earned her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Biology from East Carolina University, where she graduated summa cum laude.

With over a decade of experience, Jessica has built a diverse career in various medical settings. Prior to joining Physicians East’s Gastroenterology Department, she served at Tryon Medical Partners where she was responsible for managing a complex panel of patients, providing both acute and chronic care. Her previous roles include working at Allergy, Asthma & Immunology Relief and Horizon Family Medicine, where she evaluated and treated patients of all ages and oversaw vaccine coordination during the COVID-19 pandemic. Jessica’s earlier experience at Goldsboro Wellness Center solidified her ability to provide comprehensive care in fast-paced environments, ensuring quality treatment for all patients.

Jessica is deeply committed to providing high-quality patient care. She effectively diagnoses and treats a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, performing various medical procedures and preventive health measures. Her strong primary care background in women’s health and experience with complex patient needs reflects her dedication to providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Jessica’s continuous pursuit of knowledge, as seen in her certifications and training, further underscores her passion for enhancing patient outcomes and well-being.

Outside of her professional life, Jessica values time spent with her family. Originally from Farmville, NC, she enjoys traveling and visiting the beach with her husband and son.
