About
Dr. Michael J. Reep is a board-eligible rheumatologist who completed his rheumatology training at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Reep earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before this, he earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Professions from Lincoln Memorial University and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Wisconsin Lutheran College.
A dedicated medical and research professional, Dr. Reep has a keen interest in diagnosing and treating rheumatoid arthritis, seronegative spondyloarthropathies, lupus, scleroderma, and overlap syndromes. Additionally, he has a passion for teaching and enjoys educating future generations of young physicians. Dr. Reep has a long history of volunteering in the communities where he lives. While in Harrogate, TN, he provided care at a free clinic through Servolution. In Harlan, KY, he helped Boy Scouts earn their Medicine Merit Badge and organized a Student vs. Doctor basketball tournament to raise money for Relay for Life. In Grundy, VA, he participated in the Remote Area Medical Clinic, offering free medical care and counseling. Dr. Reep and his wife, who is also a doctor, enjoy watching their son grow up and spending time with their family and church. They love outdoor activities such as walks, hikes, playing at the playground, and swimming at their parents’ homes. They also enjoy cooking, music, and supporting their favorite hockey team, the Carolina Hurricanes. He also has a passion for woodworking, golfing, hunting, fishing, and reading, and hopes to get involved in coaching youth soccer.
