Focusing on the issues of the heart and prevention of heart disease, Cardiology is primarily concerned with heart disorders include coronary artery disease, irregular heart rhythms, congestive heart failure, disorders of the heart valves, hypertension and congenital birth defects.

The team of Physicians in our cardiology department are among the most experienced in eastern North Carolina, and specialize in the treatment of a wide array of cardiac issues and heart problems. They provide both invasive and non-invasive services such as the following:

Cardiology Services

  • Treadmill/exercise tests
  • Echocardiography
  • Cardiac catheterization
  • Angioplasty

If heart surgery is required, our cardiologists will work alongside your cardiac surgeon in the preoperative evaluation of the disorder and its long-term treatment.

Our Cardiology department is centrally located at the Main Campus on Arlington Boulevard, in Greenville, NC. However, many other standard cardiology tests are performed at various Physicians East locations throughout eastern North Carolina.
