Mild and Moderate Illness Care

Urgent Care - Sleep Center - (6 of 20).jpgAt Physicians East Urgent Care Center, we are available to assist adults and children over 2 years of age in treating mild to moderate illnesses that cannot wait until the next day or for an appointment with a primary care practitioner. We are available most days and evenings, weekends, and some holidays to provide convenient, accessible, and quality medical care for our patients and their families.

At the Urgent Care Center, we treat medical conditions that are not considered life-threatening emergencies (e.g., chest pains, stroke symptoms, or severe injuries) but still require immediate care. For example, our experienced physicians and physician assistants can help patients with many ailments including:

  • Allergies
  • Bladder infections (urinary tract infections)
  • Bronchitis
  • Colds
  • Eye infections
  • Headaches
  • Mild asthma attacks
  • Sexually transmitted illnesses (STIs)
  • Sore throat (pharyngitis)
  • Stomach flu (gastroenteritis)

Patients are notified of lab results and x-rays either at the time of their visit or with a follow-up phone call when results are available.

After evaluation and treatment, staff at the Urgent Care Center provide patients with adequate instructions for filling prescriptions if necessary, following up with their primary care physician or specialist, or helping them connect with a primary care physician if they do not have one. This ensures that patients seen in our Urgent Care Center continue to receive adequate treatment for their conditions after they leave our center.

If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, you should call 911 or proceed to the closest hospital emergency department.
